Thank you for visiting my blog and allowing me to serve you through my writing.

A Little About Me & My Family

I am a young pastor’s wife and first-time mother to our son, and I serve my family full time in our home. My husband is an associate pastor at our church where he serves as the worship leader among other pastoral duties. He is also an exceptional leader to our family, a loving husband, and a dedicated father. Our desire as a family is to bring honor and glory to God in all areas of life, but especially in how we love one another, serve others, and parent our children.

Though we grew up in Iowa and Minnesota, we are currently located near Cleveland, Ohio.

A Little About My Journey & My Mission

I grew up knowing very little about God and the Word, and I certainly never heard the phrase “biblical womanhood” during my upbringing.  Since becoming a Christian as a teenager, I have been on a journey of seeking, learning, and embracing God’s plan for women to “love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled,  pure,  working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands.”  As I am newly embarking on the challenges God holds for me as a mother and wife, I am so grateful for the many Titus 2 women that have offered their wisdom and encouragement along the way.  My hope is that God will use my writing here to promote biblical womanhood, Christ-centered living, and sound biblical teaching.  I love writing and teaching other women about God’s Word, and I hope that this experience will in some way help prepare me to author women’s bible studies some day.

A Note on My Theology & Resources

My husband and I are members of a Southern Baptist Church and align ourselves well with the Baptist Faith & Message.  Our hearts are dedicated to pursuing what is true according to Scripture and letting our lives be transformed by God through that pursuit.

I consider myself reformed in my theology and affirm the Doctrines of Grace.  In addition to my ESV Study Bible, various online resources, and Bible dictionaries, I also reference Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology  among my biblical resources.

I frequent like-minded websites like The Gospel Coalition and the bloggers who contribute there.

The Together for the Gospel Conferences and their Affirmations and Denials also closely represent our convictions in regards to the Gospel, the Bible, the Trinity, and the Church.

I am also a proud supporter of the True Woman Movement and affirm the statements regarding Biblical Womanhood in the True Woman Manifesto.  Additionally, I am keen to written work by Mary Kassian & Nancy Leigh DeMoss on these topics.

The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood can also provide you with a list of core beliefs I agree with regarding Biblical Womanhood.

I pray that in all that I do, I will be a lamp on a stand, shining the light of Christ throughout my home and beyond.
